Barrett Johnson is an associate attorney in the firm’s Raleigh office with the firm’s medical malpractice group. Barrett is licensed to practice law in North Carolina and the District of Columbia. Barrett’s practice focuses on the representation of hospitals and health care providers.

Prior to moving to Raleigh in 2015, Barrett spent two years in Washington, DC in the commercial litigation group of a large, international law firm. He has represented entities in a wide range of state and federal litigation at the trial and appellate levels.

Barrett received his B.A., summa cum laude, from NC State University, where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, and his J.D., cum laude, from Duke University School of Law, where he served as Executive Editor of the Duke Journal of Constitutional Law and Public Policy.

Barrett is fluent in Spanish.
