Michael G. Frankson

Michael_FranksonMr. Frankson specializes in the defense of healthcare providers and employers against claims with significant exposure. He has represented numerous doctors, practices, hospitals, and national companies through the summary judgment and jury trial stages of litigation.

Mr. Frankson’s previous experience includes an internship for the Honorable Charles B. Mikell of the Court of Appeals of Georgia and over two years as Staff Attorney to Chief Judge Ben W. Studdard, III of the State Court of Henry County.

Representative Cases/Experience:

  • Along with Jeff Braintwain, Mr. Frankson has been centrally involved in the appellate litigation of the emergency medicine gross negligence standard, preparing briefs for four appeals to the Court of Appeals and/or Supreme Court of Georgia
  • Like most attorneys at Huff, Powell & Bailey, Mr. Frankson is regularly in the courtroom, taking at least one case to trial in every year of his private practice and regularly attending oral arguments on motions
  • Mr. Frankson has prepared and filed dozens of dispositive motions, motions to limit expert testimony, and motions for qualified protective orders
  • As is typical of the firm, Mr. Frankson has attended over two hundred depositions, averaging more than one a week
