Since he began practicing, Mr. Braintwain has focused almost exclusively on representing health care providers in actions alleging professional negligence and he has considerable experience defending doctors, hospitals and other health professionals in both state and federal trial courts in Georgia. Mr. Braintwain also is actively involved in advising hospitals and other health care organizations in the areas of risk management, various aspects of regulatory compliance, and in the management of pre-litigation claims.
While in law school, Mr. Braintwain was a member of the Moot Court Board and his successes in competition earned him membership in the prestigious Chief Justice Joseph Branch Inn of Court. Mr. Braintwain also was awarded the CALI award for excellence in legal writing. He has been admitted to practice in all of Georgia’s trial and appellate courts, as well as the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, the Middle District of Georgia, and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Braintwain has been peer-selected as a “Rising Star” in the 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 Georgia Super Lawyers listing published by Atlanta Magazine.
