Mr. Bailey's litigation and trial practice focuses primarily on the defense of healthcare professionals and healthcare institutions in actions alleging professional negligence, and on the defense of major product manufacturers in actions alleging products liability. His practice areas have included medical malpractice defense, drug and medical device litigation, automotive products liability, hospital liability defense, nursing home defense, and general tort and personal injury litigation. He has published in the area of medical malpractice defense ("Legal Liabilities for the Mental Health Professional," MEDS, February 2000, April 2003), and is a frequent speaker to legal, physician, and hospital groups regarding a variety of risk management and litigation-related issues. Mr. Bailey has served as a guest faculty member at seminars sponsored by the Emory University School of Medicine and is currently a member of the Georgia State College of Law Graduate Leadership Council, the Alston & Bird LLP Alumni Association, the Atlanta Bar Association, and the Lawyers Club of Atlanta.

Mr. Bailey was selected as an Atlanta Magazine SuperLawyers "Rising Star" for 2006 and 2007 and a Georgia Super Lawyer in 2008 and 2009. He is a Charter Fellow with the Council on Litigation Management and a Fellow in the Litigation Council of America, an invitation-only trial lawyer honorary society representing less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. Additionally, Mr. Bailey was named to the 2009 Lexis Nexis Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers.
