Bailey

Julye has 18 years of experience defending professional liability lawsuits involving hospitals, physicians, physician extenders, and nurses. Since joining Huff, Powell & Bailey in 2004, she successfully has tried numerous cases involving death and catastrophic injury. She has defended allegations of medical negligence, ordinary negligence, assault and battery, fraud, and premises liability, in federal and state courts, at trial and on appeal. She has represented primary care providers for both pediatric and adult patients, and specialists in fields including cardiology, emergency medicine, gastroenterology, neurosurgery, obstetrics and gynecology, psychiatry, pulmonology/critical care, radiology, surgery, and urology. In addition to representing clients in civil litigation, Julye represents physicians in hearings before the Georgia Composite Medical Board, hospital credentialing committees, and insurance companies. Julye has given lectures regarding risk management topics to physician, physician assistant, and nursing organizations.
