Sandy is counsel in the Atlanta, Georgia office of Huff Powell Bailey. Before joining the firm, Sandy was an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Georgia, serving in the Regulated Industries and Professional Division, where she ensured compliance with the laws and regulations affecting physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers. She represented the Georgia Composite Medical Board where she routinely advised on licensure applications, investigations, and the extensive regulatory issues that came before the Board. Additionally, Sandy prosecuted disciplinary cases on behalf of the Medical Board and defended the Board in all administrative law matters.
Sandy represents hospitals, nurses, physicians and mid-level providers in cases alleging medical malpractice and ordinary negligence. Sandy also represents providers for investigations and complaints by their regulating boards. Sandy has been an attorney for more than twenty years and is an experienced litigator. She enjoys the challenge of representing medical providers in complex cases and investigations.
