Avni joined Huff Powell Bailey in 2025 as an associate in the Atlanta and Lawrenceville offices. She handles complex professional negligence and general liability cases.

Avni is a seasoned litigator with a comprehensive background in administrative and appellate law. She began her career representing educators and school personnel before Georgia's Professional Standards Commission and local school boards. Avni then transitioned to the federal government, serving for sixteen years with the Office of the General Counsel for the Social Security Administration (SSA) in Atlanta. At the SSA, she developed specialized expertise across the full spectrum of federal employment matters, including litigating complex discrimination cases in U.S. District Courts and before the EEOC, handling adverse employment actions before the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB), and defending unfair labor practice allegations at arbitrations. Avni's lengthy appellate experience includes representing the agency in Social Security disability appeals before both the 2nd and 11th Circuit Courts of Appeals and in corresponding U.S. District Courts, in addition to handling employment discrimination appeals before the Office of Federal Operations.
