Melissa joined Huff Powell Bailey in 2026 as Counsel in the firm's Atlanta, Georgia office. She has been practicing law since 1993. Her practice is devoted to civil litigation, including an extensive amount of appellate work. She has tried dozens of cases in state and federal courts and has numerous published opinions in Georgia's appellate courts as well as the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Melissa's litigation practice includes the defense of trucking and transportation cases, premises, products and construction liability. Melissa has a healthy intellectual curiosity that sharpens her focus on the facts and expert opinions as they develop in a case. It gives her a competitive edge in the defense and trial of complex cases. She enjoys the life-long learning that accompanies a 30-year career in the law.
