Bailey has been defending professional liability lawsuits involving hospitals, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers and entities since 2012. She has defended allegations of medical malpractice, ordinary negligence, assault and battery, fraud, and premises liability in all stages of litigation from pre-suit management through trial and appeal. In addition to representing clients in civil litigation, Bailey has represented physicians in investigations and hearings before the Georgia Composite Medical Board, hospital credentialing committees, and insurance companies. Bailey also has experience managing the claims side of litigation for hospitals, as well as providing professionals and organizations with risk management advice and preventative education for their personnel. More recently, Bailey has focused on aspects of litigation away from the courtroom, including witness preparation, complex written discovery and document production, and motions practice. In her new role with the firm, she manages formal and informal education and training for attorneys new to the firm and/or medical malpractice litigation, as well as human resources issues specific to or involving attorneys.
