Nan is Counsel in the firm's Atlanta, Georgia office. She is currently leading the development and implementation of the firm's Healthcare Regulatory and Compliance Practice Group. Nan has 25 years of experience as a healthcare regulatory lawyer both in private practice and as the Executive Vice President of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs for a large, national long-term care company.

Prior to joining Huff Powell Bailey, Nan served in many roles at SavaSeniorCare Administrative and Consulting, LLC. As the Chief Compliance Officer, she oversaw the successful implementation of a nationwide corporate integrity agreement. She also led the Company's COVID-19 response. Prior to that, Nan served for many years as the Chief Regulatory Counsel where she was responsible for assuring the Company's compliance with State and Federal laws, rules and regulations nationwide.

Prior to joining Sava, Nan spent 6 years in private practice providing legal and regulatory guidance to several large and small nursing home chains, hospitals, and long-term acute care hospitals. She also served as a trial lawyer for the U.S. Department of Labor.

Nan is the Chair of the American Health Care Association Legal and Legal Executive Committees and Chair of the Legal Operations subcommittee. She is a frequent presenter at National and State Association meetings, including The American Health Lawyers Long-Term Care and the Law Annual Program.

Nan is Chair of the firm's Healthcare Regulatory and Compliance Practice Group. Her representation of and services provided to clients of the firm include but are not limited to healthcare regulatory guidance, including survey and enforcement matters; government investigations, Qui Tam defense and civil investigative demand response; change of ownership, licensure and certification and certificate of need; and compliance and ethics program development and training.
