Laurel joined Huff Powell Bailey in 2026 as Counsel in the Atlanta office. She has extensive experience representing healthcare facilities, healthcare providers, and corporations in complex cases and has practiced in state and federal courts throughout Georgia. Laurel has over 30 years of experience litigating complex cases for clients. She practiced for approximately 30 years with the Atlanta and Augusta based law firm Kilpatrick Townsend Stockton in the firm's litigation section. Laurel also completed two federal clerkships following law school, the first with the Honorable W. Leon Barfield, U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Southern District of Georgia, and then a two-year clerkship with the Honorable John F. Nangle, Senior U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of Georgia.
Laurel has also participated in leadership at all levels of the State Bar of Georgia, including serving as President of the Young Lawyers Division, and as a Member of the Executive Committee.
