  • Appellate Practice

Alex joined Huff Powell Bailey in 2023, as part of the firm's Appellate Practice team. In that role, Alex defends physicians, nurses, hospitals, and other healthcare providers in medical malpractice and negligence cases before Georgia's appellate courts. After graduating law school, Alex served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Criminal Appeals Division of the Tennessee Attorney General's Office. During his two years in that role, he handled dozens of appeals and arguments before the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals and Supreme Court. Alex then worked as an associate at a firm in Atlanta, Georgia, representing businesses on a diverse array of subjects, in a civil litigation practice.

After graduating from the University of Georgia, Alex earned his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School in 2016. There, Alex served as the Notes Editor for the Vanderbilt Law Review, was actively involved in the Moot Court Board and ABA Moot Court team. He represented clients before the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals as part of Vanderbilt's Appellate Litigation Clinic.
